Message | Why not have them sew their ID cards into the sleeves of their jackets? Better yet, lets tattoo a barcode that allows officials to immediately scan them to verify identity without worry of misplaced or forgotten cards? Come on... we allow open door border policies and then infringe upon our citizen's sense of privacy. Ideas like these have been among the embarassments of society since the dawn of human existance. Identity cards have their place and purpose which are important to a number of government institutions and processes (census, social security and other social programs, or just documenting that you are indeed a recognized citizen in your country) however when we put symbols such as the card itself at a higher realm than the meaning it provides then we completely lose focus and have distorted, if not retarded, the system. If one does not have their ID card on them does it make them a non-citizen? Is their existence or claim to to nationality erased if found without a such card? Do they not have a home if unable to prove their address on the spot? What then is the intent or reasoning behind such an anal law? |

Message | Looks like you forgot to add the proposal. A bill without a proposal is basically a resolution - such as all parties agreeing that CPS should cut his mullet. While such a resolution is very much needed for the good of the people, it is, however, not official Saridani law in terms of the game mechanics... for that you will need to click that Add Proposal link and choose from our list of laws which you want to change and the alternative you choose to change it to. Then proceed to vote which locks things down to the point that the only thing left is for us to vote... well and of course bitch and moan about why everyone else's vote sucks. |
