Bill: Romano Enterprise International Acknowledgement

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Centrist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2074

Description[?]:

The Malivian business Romano Enterprises is seeking to leave the country through a declaration of themselves as an official international organization. They cannot leave through normal methods; Malivian laws will not allow this.

If they cannot get international support on this, the Government of Malivia will forcefully reposses everything owned by the company. This could lead to civil war, as Mr. Romano (the founder of Romano Enterprises) is head of a coalition of parties within Malivia. That coalition makes up 48% of Malivia's Legislature. If even a small portion of the people they represent resist this action, the consequences would be grim.

MessageThere are so many levels on which this should be supported, but the one that means it needs to go straight to vote is the fact of potential bloodshed.

MessageHowever, I will list a few other reasons, as well, for anyone who is not moved by the "preventing human suffering" ideal.

For instance, there is the entirely personal part about my hopes to arrange technological trades between the LFP and the Malivian Free Reform Coalition. I will honestly admit to this being a motivation to me pressing this. It is not the most respectable motivation, but I won't hide it dishonestly.

There are, however, many other concerns that are more reasonable. For instance, the problem of how wars destroy infrastructure in the affected country, thus devastating a potential market (Malivia). They also tend to overspill their borders. Furthermore, nations damaged by war are very unstable.

MessageI was there with the suffering. We support, as long our inspection of this organisation doesnt suggest that it is wholly to blame... yes, the situation seems to be as you have described.

MessageWait, LPE, are you saying to side with the Malivian government, or the Romano Enterprises?

I'm supporting Mr. Romano and the FRC.

It's acceptable to oppose on that ground. I'd rather have you opposing honestly than supporting because of a misconception.

MessageI say we do not suport a strong Malivia and when they rebel we annex them.

i dont know what to vote for as it dont think its clear.

Romano Enterprises should not be a seperate entity to the Government.

If the Malivian Government wants International support and does not get it then thats an indication that the world supports the Seperatist movement of Mr Romano.

Meaning The Malivian Government is in the wrong if we support Malivia then we could be supporting tyrants but if we support Romano we could be supporting Terrorists.

It cannot affect us if we dont have deals with these people already. There downfall will not affect us currently yet if we go through with a trade deal future problems will certainly affect us.

Just some views of this from both sides.

But seriously who are we intended to support through this bill?
Romano or The Govt?

MessageThat a million dollar capitalist company is not supported by a communist government is somewhat the most common thing in the world. Now they're playing their victim-role very well and hoping to establish international wealth and fame? No, we don't support this, many governments will fall for the sad story and the millions of money behind it. At the end Romano Enterprises will end up meddling in national governments, putting pressure on them in their own advantage. We, SocialGreens does not want to support a company that says tomorrow how we have to govern our nation!
