Message | in order to prevent the loss of national industry to foreign investors, a limitation as to how much money can be invested in national industry. yes this sounds crazy, but if our industry is lost to foreign investors than we lose control of regulation of our own goods, and resources. we are then at the mercy of private commercial and industrial enterprises. this cannot be allowed to happen. |

Message | No, if another nation's business is able to provide services to our people better than we can provide it ourselves, then they should be allowed to provide that service. Thus, they should own our companies. Bescides, its a global world, and if we close our nation's industries to the rest of the world, then they might consider doing the same. This is something that we cannot afford. Our nation is a free one, with a free market that participates on a worldly scale. We should not hide in our shells as the rest of the world passes us by. I oppose this bill. |

Message | i am not suggesting economic isolation, i am merely saying that our own nations industries should be protected and remain sovereign. services provided by other national industries will still be allowed, but will work on equal grounds to our own. we cannot afford to be dependent another nations industry. |

Message | to continue, the point of this bill to to ensure that our nation has the full capability of supporting itself before too readily accepting an easier way out. it is better to have the ability now and choose to not use, then to scramble to bring our industry up to par when we need it. |

Message | It's an easier way out. Just like you said. Its also an efficient way out. You know it. If we can focus on international trade, and promote it to the fullest potential, we cna create the most beneficial economy for both nations involved. By limiting the control to our nation, we ARE limiting trade. This is not a good thing. It seems that the National Independence Party is wary of war. Are you guys planning something? |

Message | limiting trade, perhaps, but supporting and boosting our own economy yes. and it it is easier and efficient then it should be in place. |
Date | 04:43:54, October 05, 2006 CET | From | National Independence Movement | To | Debating the Self Dependence |
Message | it is not so much that we wish to become completly isolated, rather we wish to have the ability and option, should we need to. |
