Message | Ugh. Another ambiguous wording. What exactly is meant by 'refugee' here? Is this effectively an open-borders policy (as 'regardless of their reason' would suggest), or does it only apply to people fleeing *some* sort of disaster (as the use of the word 'refugee' instead of 'immigrant' would suggest)? |
Date | not recorded | From | Communist Party of Endralon | To | Debating the Refugee Safe Haven Act |
Message | Since the wording is unclear, we'll abstain. We would support a bill that opens the borders for all refugees fleeing SOMETHING, but we would not support an entirely open-border policy. |

Message | Well, they should be "asylum seekers" really, shouldn't they? Should we take it as meaning all those who're fleeing persecution are welcome? |
Date | not recorded | From | To | Debating the Refugee Safe Haven Act |
Message | The CP policy is ridiculous. The vast majority coming will be fleeing either poverty or persecution. |
