MessageUgh. Another ambiguous wording. What exactly is meant by 'refugee' here? Is this effectively an open-borders policy (as 'regardless of their reason' would suggest), or does it only apply to people fleeing *some* sort of disaster (as the use of the word 'refugee' instead of 'immigrant' would suggest)?

MessageSince the wording is unclear, we'll abstain. We would support a bill that opens the borders for all refugees fleeing SOMETHING, but we would not support an entirely open-border policy.

MessageWell, they should be "asylum seekers" really, shouldn't they?

Should we take it as meaning all those who're fleeing persecution are welcome?

MessageThe CP policy is ridiculous. The vast majority coming will be fleeing either poverty or persecution.

Random fact: Real-life quotations may be used in Particracy, but the real-life speaker or author should always be referenced in an OOC (out-of-character) note alongside the quotation.

Random quote: "Democracy is in peril." - Ralph Nader (referring to turnout in the 1996 US presidential election)
