Message | We feel this proposal goes too far towards state ownership. The government has a role to play in supporting essential industries, but not in running them. |

Message | This is not communism nor state ownership. This is the intelligent reservation of strategic national resources for the public trust under the direction of the public's democratically elected government. No central planning is involved either, for that matter. If you don't feel that our antion's natural resources should be kept in the public trust, then vote against this, but if you want to keep them out of the hands of self-interest and for the public good, vote for this. The fact is, there is a huge private economy that will exist with this bill, except for certain strategic industries. |
