Message | We accept changes in Mitrania but not in Hilgar, we fear that an expansion of Luthori/Hulstrian culture into Hilgar which still has a significant number of Gishotoi and a far stronger cultural link to them could cause a general uprising. Intergration continues apace however so hopefully it will not be long before Gishotoi tribalism and the Shintoist heresy is removed from out borders. |

Message | Problem with that is the cities would have already existed this is just to formalize the maps. That is to say they were there before us. |

Message | Although it is true that the Hulstrians who made Gishoto what it is and built the cities from the meager and transiant settlements of the Gishotoi it is the opinion of many in their number that they are the natives of this land and have some god given (though obviously they attribute it to their own pagan gods) right to that land. The Hulstrians and the Gishotoi who have accepted Hulstrian culture, including many in our party, may call the cities by their Hulstrian names but to officially change them would cause consternation amongst the Gishotoi, who it is believed are in the majority in certain parts of Hilgar. OOC: Our current opinion of history is that the Luthori colonisation drove many of the Gishotoi across the Mountains and onto the plains beyond where other Gishotoi tribes lived. Shortly before independence there was an exodus of Gishotoi back into the colony caused by a drought on the plains. This arrival of Gishotoi in the Eastern provinces might have in fact been one of the triggers of the independence movement. |
