Message | Why the reduction from 15 to 12? Ah! The SLP knows that the Conservative Party will win these elections and is afraid, right? We are totally against this restrictive ammendment to the constitution: clearly an attempt of the SLP to secure its ifluence over legislative power. NO WAY! |
Date | 19:46:22, October 15, 2006 CET | From | Social Liberal Party | To | Debating the SLP - Constitutional Amendment. |
Message | The reduction of 15 to twelve is merely to give an equal opportunity for parties that are less active. The SLP has governed these past 4 years with a relatively unchecked majority and we have gained a fair understanding on the legislative process. Slightly adjusting the number of proposals to 12, or in other words, one per month, would make the lawmaking process much easier. We are also confident that we will retain the confidence of Lusitanians. |

Message | In any even, this proposed amendment will be reset automatically to debate status before the voting session comes to a close. The CP's accusations are baseless. |
