Message | We see no point in this treaty if smugglers want to ensure this drug passes through our country can we really stop them? We can do these things independently anyway all this piece of paper is a commitment of us against this drug, surely our word is enough! |

Message | TIP, When we proposed this bill we also suggested the possibility of a normal bill with the same or similar proposals instead. This would result in your country making the exportation illegal without entering an international treaty to that effect. While you have informed us that the bannig of Yoj has been put on hold while it is tested to try and "cure" it's dangers, it is still important that the exportation of the drug is banned, at least until you find a safe alternative. Message | I am afraid we still cannot support the treaty still as it is only against nations that have already banned the drug so, also export of drugs with a similar chemical structure are also banned from export. This means if we do change the drug structure marginally then the treaty will still be in effect even if it is safe. In the end every country has to control its own supply of Yoj and an international treaty is to restrictive for such a relatively simple problem |
