MessageWe believe that providing a safety net for the most vulnerable of our citizens is one of the utmost responsibilities of our government. We therefore believe that each individual within our nation should be provided with this minimum, but should also have the option to expand on this with a private system. As such, we support this proposal.

MessageSorry, after a hard decision in that one huge bill, ICP is regaining "points" with its voter base.

MessageDoes the ICP not think that ensuring a minimum standard of living for some of its most vulnerable citizens is more important than its electoral success? We implore the ICP to reconsider its position and support this bill.

MessageThe very fact that they are no longer capable of working for their own money and lacked the foresight to save for their old age proves that they are an influence we can afford to be without.

This bill encourages people to sit back and drain public money rather than get out and work and we will not support it.

MessageThe argument of Libertario Aliatu assumes that those whom will benefit most from a state pension scheme and who, to use their words, 'lacked the foresight' were free to make the choice not to invest in their pension. Those whom exist on, below or near the poverty line often lack the disposable income to invest in their pension. By ensuring that all those who meet the requirements for a state pension under this proposal are able to afford a comfortable lifestyle in their retirement we will be doing an immense good for our society. We, as the chosen representatives of our people, are responsible for ensuring that they, regardless of mitigating circumstances, are able to enjoy a long and free life. We therefore call for all parties to support this bill and ensure a comfortable retirement for millions of Alorians.

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left.
