Bill: Government Subsidiary on Contraceptives
Details
Submitted by[?]: Lodamun Centre-Left Coalition
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2075
Description[?]:
In the modern world, Sexually Transmitted Diseases are rampant. While these are easily prevented, the Government currently does not provide any form of discount on contraceptives. This bill does not seek for the Government to hand out free contraceptives, however the MLP believe it would be right for the Government to discount contraceptives for the public in view of health concerns. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy on subsidising contraception.
Old value:: The government does not supply free or discounted contraceptives.
Current: The government offers free contraceptives in pharmacies and public toilets.

Message | We would ask our minister for health (when approved) to advise us on this issue. We are tempted to support the act on humanitarian grounds, but we would like some reassurance that it really will have the described effect. |

Message | In which case we have no objections. We would have preferred a report rather than a religious gesture though. Our Marxist-Leninist-Trotskyite brethren are being rather devout of late. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
