MessageIs this meant to be something like MP's swearing allegiance to the Queen in Britain before they're allowed to take their seats?

MessageBtw, we socialists passed something similar a long time ago - the Pledge of Opposition to Capitalism:

http://aiglesrv.no-ip.info:8080/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=1733

"It is the duty of all people to stand against injustice, oppression and inequality wherever it may occur. It is the duty of the government, which serves those people, to carry out that struggle internationally; an injustice to one is an injustice to all. Capitalism, and the regimes that prop it up, is a system based upon human exploitation, dehumanization and the social and economic disadvantage of the vast majority of the world in order to preserve the affluent and luxurious lifestyles of the capital owners.

We, the undersigned, hereby pledge to strive for the abolition of capitalism in Endralon. We pledge to abolish private property over the means of production as soon as it is within our power to do so. We pledge to implement the highest possible degree of social and economic equality in our nation. We pledge to empower the people and to give workers full control over the means of production. We pledge to combat tyranny and exploitation in all its forms."

MessageOaths tend to be a bad idea. Parliament shouldn't resemble a closed club. Capitalist or communist.

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.

Random quote: "The people who vote decide nothing. The people who count the vote decide everything." - Joseph Stalin
