Bill: Cabinet Fixation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal Party of Telamon
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2306
Description[?]:
By letting everyone propose a cabinet you are opening the gates to allot of political strife. In the past, we always had issues with larger parties trying to make up their own cabinet just for themselves and their cowardly friends. And now that the UCA, TCP and TNP are all brought together I can assure you we will come across many more problems in telamon. So I propose that only the head of state can propose a cabinet If we come to a deadlock, then the head of state will propose a cabinet in which the majority faction has power, regardless of the HoS political allegiance. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The constitutional right and responsibility to propose a cabinet to the legislature.
Old value:: Each party can propose a cabinet coalition.
Current: Each party can propose a cabinet coalition.
Proposed: Only the Head of State can propose a cabinet coalition.

Message | No, we`ve only changed that. |
Date | 12:39:36, October 28, 2006 CET | From | Telamon Royalist Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Fixation Act |
Message | No. The head of state should have less, not more, power. |
Date | 13:50:39, October 28, 2006 CET | From | Telamon National Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Fixation Act |
Message | TNP has experienced the policy of allowing all parties to propose cabinets and it is not pleasent. We will support limiting the power to head of state or largest party. |
Date | 02:03:57, October 29, 2006 CET | From | Catholic Workers Union | To | Debating the Cabinet Fixation Act |
Message | We can not support this. It's too undesirable a situation, and lends itself to difficult situations when the most active parties in each factions don't have the power to proportion the ministries and they have to ask a player who might very well be inactive. |
