Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2311
Description[?]:
Reducing Corporate Tax to 2% will adjust revenue to government spending, thus reducing surplus, which has been growing quickly, so we can reduce this tax to better adjust revenue to spending. We call upon the SOCIAL LIBERAL PARTY and the NATIONAL PARTY to collaborate with us on this matter. Do your own calculations, if needed. |

Message | Take a good look at our budget. Our numbers are shameful. The Conservative Party has done enough to weaken and destroy our nation's institutions. This country needs better social programs. That is the only way to end this recession. The GDP/capita is currently at a miserable 21 368 DAR/capita. It's lowest mark ever. Mark my words: Voting favourably on this tax cut will make matters worse. |

Message | The profit made by corporations has been quickly increasing and so does the surplus. We that a tax cut over the tax percentage of the profit made by corporations is the best policy to be applied. By now we have a revenue ~ 6,63% higher than the expenses. These value can be reduced by cutting on this tax. Since the CP has implemented its economic policies the surplus has been increasing and so did the revenue coming from income tax and sales tax, which means that people are being better remunerated and are also spending more. This is good. |

Message | Well, we know that the tax has been increased to 10% but even before this catastrophic measure taken by the SLP the surplus has been quickly increasing, so what we've said before still applies. |

Message | And, by the way, GDP is not, strictly speaking, an indicator of standard of living. It is OBVIOUS that when reducing government expenditures GDP will get lower. |

Message | We need to strengthen our public institutions. This tax revenue is necessary. |
