MessageTrade unions, if they are to function correctly, must be representative organizations. Why not call this measure what it is: an attempt to chip away at the power of the worker?

MessageYour insinuations are pitiful. Even the GWP is intelligent enough to notice that this proposal gives more freedom to trade unions and making them less dependant of government regulation. If members of a trade union don't agree with the policy of their union, they're free to establish one of their own. But we don't feel government should oblige associations to have a majority approval of ALL members before they can act.

Besides, why doesn't the GWP call this measure what it is: it doesn't say a trade union CAN'T hold a ballot of their own.
