Message | This is perverted, for what reason would a pervert want to watch violent porn, involving strangulation or abuse of some sort. For what reason should we, as representatives of the community, wish to allow such filth to be viewable on television? One can understand 'progressives' wanting sex to be viewed by all, but why on earth would they want 'staged' rape to be viewable? Its absolutely disgusting, and we cannot understand the warped views of the PPP. |

Message | It's called personal preference. The government should allow the citizens of Dorvik to decide their own morals. As long as their personal morals don't interfere with other people's lives then the government should not be involved. |

Message | PPP - Thats rubbish. If personal preference wants something that is bad, it should not be the government who makes access to that product easier. Violent porn has no beneficial effects upon society, only negative effects, it breaks bonds between men and women, it turns women into nothing more than objects that can be abused. Violent porn makes it acceptable to beat and rape women. Legalizing this filth will only serve to increase the number of sex attacks as unhinged persons will take the passage of this bill as a green light to commit such attacks. GC - That is a pretty poor argument. Although members of the SA may choose not to watch it, it won't stop their daughters being raped by people who have watched it. If this passes, well it will be the most disgusting law to pass in recent Dorvik history. |

Message | Uhhhh or instead will it cause the would-be rapists to stay at home and pretend like theyre doing something terrible like that in front of their computer instead of real life? whats next? ban erotic books with hardcore sex in them? |

Message | Would be rapists will have access to stuff they didn't have before, and thus would gain the mindset that they could only gain through viewing the filth. Whats next? Perhaps you'll understand that the SA, in its time as majority party, only banned violent porn, ie staged rape, staged torture etc. Basically we retained access to hardcore porn, but saw absolutely no reason why violent porn should be readily available. So no erotic books are not on our ban list, we have carried out the one ban we intended, and are now trying to prevent the legalisation of that ban. Does this benefit society in any way, no it doesn't, it can only have negative effects, so why are the PPP so determined to allow people who get off on rape to view this stuff? |

Message | ooc: Actually just reread the proposed article. Does anyone know what the difference is between sexually explicit and hardcore porn? I assume that sexually explicit porn is very graphic, whereas hardcore includes 'gangbangs'. Anyone else know? |

In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
