Message | I have used my Executive power as Head of State to propose this treaty. I trust it will have the support of the Senate, I wish to point out that it does not commit the Republic to take any military action and thus is in compliance with our current Neutrality declaration. Adrian Bertoni (President of the Cildanian Republic) |
Date | 03:51:20, November 15, 2006 CET | From | Union for a Responsible Republic | To | Debating the Ratification of the Declaration of Support for the Legitimate Government of Kafuristan |
Message | There is no reason for the Republic to ratify this treaty except for the desire of the Mutualist Party to erode our nation's neutrality and align the Republic with the Allied Nations. |

Message | The OCP will be registering its vote against this proposal. The President appears to have his own party's wishes in proposing this motion rather than that of the Cildanian public. |

Message | We are surprised by the OCP slur against our President, he was of course elected by the Cildanian People! He is merely bringing a matter forward which, contrary to the directions of the Senate, was not brought forward by the Minister concerned. Futhermore we are surprised by the current OCP position on this matter. The OCP is a member of the organisation 'Freedom Fighters of the World' an organisation which describes itself as an 'Organization of parties that support or fight for the freedom of opressed peoples around the world.' We would think that the people of Kafuristan would qualify as oppressed, suffering as they are beneath the jack-booted thugs of the Deltarian Empire! We hope that the OCP will reconsider its stance on this vital issue, vital not only to the Kafuristanis, but to peace loving people everywhere. |

Message | If the Kafuristan Government wanted our support on the motion they should honour our neutrality proposal. If a country refuses to honour another country's pleas then we have no desire tohonour theirs. |

Message | tit for tat? We didn't realise how 'principled' the OCP is... |

Date | 01:32:56, November 17, 2006 CET | From | National Arab Party of Kafuristan | To | Debating the Ratification of the Declaration of Support for the Legitimate Government of Kafuristan |
Message | How do we honor your neutrality proposal when we are not the internationally reconized government of Kafuristan? The internationally reconized government of Kafuristan is merely a puppet for a Deltarian slave empire. |
Date | 03:37:11, November 17, 2006 CET | From | Union for a Responsible Republic | To | Debating the Ratification of the Declaration of Support for the Legitimate Government of Kafuristan |
Message | It is not so much your nation honoring our neutrality treaty as the Economic Party explicitly stating that he, and by extension the Kafuristan government, would never recognize Cildanian neutrality. My decision to oppose this treaty is not based on quid pro quo, however. But I think it is not an inconceivable that parties would be hesitant to support the proposition of another party that has been somewhat hostile in the near past. |
Date | 04:00:10, November 17, 2006 CET | From | Mutualist Party of Cildania | To | Debating the Ratification of the Declaration of Support for the Legitimate Government of Kafuristan |
Message | Surely these are two seperate matters? They have no relationship to one another and should be treated seperately. If the LPs decision to oppose this treaty is not based on quid pro quo, what then is it based on? |
Date | 17:26:29, November 17, 2006 CET | From | Union for a Responsible Republic | To | Debating the Ratification of the Declaration of Support for the Legitimate Government of Kafuristan |
Message | It's based upon the precepts of Cildanian neutrality and the realities of the current international situation. |
