Bill: Seats in the Senate
Details
Submitted by[?]: Progressive Conservative Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2318
Description[?]:
After having 100 seats for the past few years, I noted that when we first amended the Constitution to make 100 seats, our population was roughly 80,000,000. That mean't that there was 1 senator for every 800,000 people. I hope to make 800,000 our ratio. 87,131,631 / 800,000 = 109 Seats |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The total number of seats in the legislative assembly. Should be between 75 and 750.
Old value:: 100
Current: 750
Proposed: 109

Message | How about we just leave it at 100? That was the whole point : to leave it at a fixed number.100 was chosen since no. of seats = % of votes. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
