Bill: Freedom of Religion
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberty Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2318
Description[?]:
We appreciate that some of you may support the idea of a forced religion, but please remember that the religion being forced is not your religion but TUP's (unless you are the TUP, in which case the religion currently being forced is, in fact, your religion). This is why religious freedom is important, so that your faith is safe even when the TUP is in power. |

Message | How about this then? If the 'Gods' strike us down, then as the last sole survivor, you can change the law back. If the Gods don't strike us down, then you can accept that you are either delusional or dishonest (or both). |

Message | We shall see, but your plans put my Classical reforms in jeopardy. If we are to retain a truly perfect state, we must aspire to be as the Romans were |

Message | Yes, well observed, our plans put YOUR 'classical reforms' in jeopardy. Not God's classical reforms, but YOUR reforms. The product of one twisted, human mind, not of some omniscient, omnipotent deity. I'm not sure how you can think the Roman state was perfect (or indeed, at what point and what location the Roman state was perfect since the Roman Republic of 510 BC was significantly different to the Imperium Romanum in AD 116). In any event, WE need not aspire to be as any particular Romans were. You may wish to pursue your insane policies, but please do not represent that we all need to share your peculiar delusions. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
