Bill: Armed Citizen Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dorvish Popular Front

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2036

Description[?]:

Citizens have a right to protect themselves and their country from attack. Having licenses places citizens in danger of foreign armies tracking down all gun owners, or an oppresive govt tracking them down.

MessageHaving no licenses may place undue stress on forensics experts in the event of crimes. Even Switzerland has some gun regulations.

MessageThe DLP supports having weapons to resist oppresive regimes. Obviously, if the regime has the license info, they can track down the gun-owners and stop the resistance.

MessageAnd if there's no way to match bullets to guns, then how the **** are we supposed to solve crimes?

MessageTell you what, I'll agree to this assuming there is a restriction in the near future that improves gun forensics.

MessageWell if guns were illegal would it be possible to trace them? There are other ways to solve crimes for instance DNA, fingerprints, witnesses etc.

MessageIf someone gets shot from 20 feet away, there's not going to be any fingerprints or DNA.

MessageBut whatever. I will vote for this; hopefully the gun forensics bill will pass as well.
