Message | How do you know that your people view it as immoral? |
Date | 20:25:59, July 13, 2005 CET | From | Rainbow House | To | Debating the Gay Marriage |
Message | We fully support this proposal. Gays and lesbians are a marginalized minority, and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is still a problem rife in our society. This proposal does not interfere with religious authorities, stayng completely in the realm of the secular. It affords a minority equal protection under the law, and asserts that minorities basic human rights and civil liberties. That anyone can claim that gay, lesbian, and transgender "lifestyles" are by their very nature immoral is a sad reality that we can start to change by accepting this bill. |
