Bill: Coup in Tirkalara
Details
Submitted by[?]: True Valruzians
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2324
Description[?]:
The 2nd and 3rd Parachute Regiments, backed up by the elements of the 4th Mechanised Brigade, have seized key points in Tirkalara, including the Kingdoms legislature and the Royal Palace. Asserting their loyalty to the Valruzian Federation, and the people of Valruzia and Tirkalara, they have proceeded to remove the King of Tirkalara from his throne, and have installed Lars Zuma-Trondheim as the new King, who shall now be known as Lars XIV, King of Tirkalara. Many believe Lars to be the rightful King of Tirkalara, and such a move has been welcomed by at least two parties in Valruzia. The coup plotters have called upon the Federal Consortium and the Tirkalaran Legislature to validate their successful coup. Hence we move to motion the following " This House recognises Lars Zuma-Trondheim as the rightful King of Tirkalara, and as such he shall now be known as King Lars XIV. Furthermore this House gaurentees the line of succession to the descendents of Lars. Furthermore this House offers pardons to all those involved in the coup, so that there is not a split in the loyalties of the Armed Forces" Note: A vote in the Tirkalaran Assembly shall be held simultaneously, parties that vote aye in this motion, we be expected to vote aye in the motion there, and vice versa. |

Message | Isn't this one of our territories? I'm confused as to what has happened here. |

Message | Read the above. Each of our 'states' are Kingdoms, each with their own King. In Tirkalara the last King was removed, to be replaced with a new one. |

Message | I suggest that let things be. Any opposition could potentially cause more bloodshed and damage. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
