Bill: National Articles for a Transfer of the Seat of Government Act (NATSGA)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Order of Valtiel

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2325

Description[?]:

The Lords of Power have seen in the past several years a growing problem in the current location of the national seat of government in the city of Clearwater.

1. The city was created by the Church of Scientology and is currently a Scientology stronghold, despite the fact that most Dranians are not Scientologists.
2. The city itself is rife with economic problems, high unemployment, and is the most criminally active city in Dranland with the most number of murders and rapes per sq mile than anywhere else in Dranland.

We initially thought that the city of Calisa would serve as a better capital due to the fact that it is only recently created but it too is a stronghold for a single party (CZL) and is also having problems with crime.

So we at the Lords of Power feel that it is time to return to our roots by placing the capital of Dranland in a city that once served as the capital of the Kingdom of Loren several centuries ago.

The city of Adonbridge, a city with a long and noble history, plus a strong police force and a rather diverse mix of political ideologies would make this city ideal for Dranland's capital.

This is factually incorrect; the opposite is actually true. Historically, Elbian is higher in crime than Loren. Clearwater itself is clean, safe and was recently voted "Most Enjoyable City" in TimeOut Terra magazine.

MessageYes, but that same publication also carried an article on the rapid expansion of the prostitution trade within Clearwater. Apparently, you can get a whore to give you head for DRA 5 just one block from the National Assembly!!

MessageHey, our ministers need servicing. The girls had the business sense to move in, something which I'm sure the Theta Party secretly applaud given their current market ideology.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.
