Bill: Emergency Electoral Terms Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Demkratteja Lebraleiju Kundratatka
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2333
Description[?]:
Hi all As you know Christmas is coming up soon, and to be quite honest over the Christmas holiday period I don’t think we would have the time to propose and pass bills, let alone make a campaign for the following election. I propose that for the next election the term be extended from 36 Months to 60. In real time 36 Months= 6 days, 60 months=10 days So I propose that the term of parliament should be extended during the festive season, just for the time being, after I say 5 January we revert back to 36 Months I plan to put this bill through the voting stage around the 20th December so the election on the 22nd term will go to the 2nd of January I also propose for a freeze on bills during Christmas (24, 25 and 26 December), as I can easily propose a bill on that day and the chances are that everybody will abstain, in thus a bill being passed while everybody didn’t even know What do you guys think. |

Message | we are changing our vote to no, too. despite KdW winning the election, no parties seem to be open for cooperation. in an athmosphere like that, we do not wish to make unilateral gestures ... |
