MessageThe point of this is simple, if we have men and women (or gay men/ gay women) in close contact with one another for long periods of time, somewhere along the line, relationships will develop, and frankly, I don't want to see our military turned into a giant highschool. If the military was a primarily female organization, I would be pushing to take men out of combat roles, but it's not so here's what is needed. I would also remind both of you that the military exists to protect this nation, when morale breaks down people die. It's effectiveness doesn't need to be sacrificed so you can all say how progressive you are.

MessageTo the FPP: Like your first bill on this subject matter, we at ASDP HQ were laughing our heads off when we read your attempt at explaining this. Also like your first bill on this subject matter, our vote is a resounding NO.

MessageActually I copy pasted so that soming would be said, I don't care that they fail. I do care that they separate me from you, and raise my visiblity. (I wasn't sure that you read the first one, it doesn't really matter since I've never actually seen you attempt to reason out anything)

MessageFPP: Sure we have reasoned out things. The reason we don't always explain our votes is this:

Once upon a time, there was a party called the Centre-Right Coalition. They were right-wing bastards and our complete arch-enemies. Somehow, they always got majority governments (probably because there were three socialist parties, plus them) and were able to pass all the bills that they wanted to. (They even made divorce illegal, for crap's sake.) And whenever any other party tried to explain our position, they just ignored it completely and posted a one-sentence, usually factually inaccurate "explanation" of their own. This pissed us off so much that we just stopped wasting time posting the reasons for our votes.

If you actually read all of that, now you know.
