Bill: Profound Education for Aldegar's Youth

Details

Submitted by[?]: Communist Party of Aldegar

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2327

Description[?]:

Good education of the people is the best basis for a democracy. Only sophisticated voters are good voters. Another point is the better standing on international level. If we have a good science sector, more investors and economic projects from outside will be interested on Aldegar. Again: the best basis for a good science sector is best education.
Therefore we demand, that the student's age is increased from 17 to 20. The younger the students, the less profound is their studying. Critics will say, that the market needs young employees. But the market needs more than that best educated employees.

Maybe we can come to a an agreement. The proposal will be added later (or perhaps the bill will be cancelled).

MessageWhat exactly is the "student's age", your current proposal would force students to go into their second year of college, which seems a bit extreme.
Also, don't try and tell us what critics will say, they can say it themselves..

MessageWe would be in favour of this bill, as we feel that Aldegar needs to have well-educated citizens. We see nothing wrong with requiring students to go to university for two years. Although that might screw with our supply of unskilled labour.

MessageWe would propose that students start studying on Universities with 19 or 20 years.

MessageThat would mean completely overhauling the university system. Also, there are many students who wouldn't otherwise get into universities, and really wouldn't properly benefit from studying there, this proposal my sacrifice the quality of higher education.

MessageOn the opposite. This proposal will increase the quality of higher education.

MessageNo, this will force higher education institutions to accept anyone for atlest to years, and force them to dumb down their curriculum to be accesable to the masses.
