Details

Submitted by[?]: Protectorate Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2329

Description[?]:

Our new position of an officially neutral nation can only be defended by permitting a free exchange between all nations. We suggest establishing a Foreign quarter, where all nations are free and encouraged to establish embassies. This area could also be used to host international summits and conferances.

MessageNo.

Some nations, particularily those that repress their people, we feel it is best not to have anything to do with.

To recognize a foreign nation on our soil with an embassy means we recognize all of that governments actions concerning its people.

MessageWe would support this if it were not for the actions of certain nations. Given the statements made threatening our politicians, we cannot allow ALL nations to estalish embassies at their leisure.

MessageWe disagree, communication leads to understanding, which leads to an end of such threats. However sites of these embassies should be controlled to a single location as outlined in the bill. Thus we can control access to a degree and focus security concerns at one area.

Random fact: Voters have an extra appreciation for bills that actually get passed, so if you want to maximally take profit from your votes, make sure you compromise with others.

Random quote: "The first step in freeing yourself from social restrictions is the realization that there is no such thing as a 'safe' code of conduct, one that would earn everyone's approval. Your actions can always be condemned by someone, for being too bold or too apathetic, for being too conformist or too nonconformist, for being too liberal or too conservative. So it's necessary to decide whose approval is important to you." - Harry Browne
