Message | The basic rights enshrined in this historic treaty should be protected. What parties will join us in supporting these basic rights for all Ikradonians, now and forever? |

Message | The NCP opposes the use of treaties and statements of values as a substitute for legislation. If a party or person wishes a right protected then they should use the Ikradonian Parliament to protect that right. This Parliament should not be so arrogant as to bind all future Parliaments to our decisions. We should not surrender national sovereignty to the supposed wisdom of this Parliament. |

Message | The NCP rejects the existence of universal, or natural, rights. We believe in the power of national sovereignty to decide the rights of their own country. If a law prevents or prohibits what is considered a fundamental right then we expect the people, through their representatives, to express their discontent for such a law. Minorities would be protected from the majority through the "due process" system and the independence of the judiciary. We fear the extensive and expensive legal circus these types of binding treaties allow and encourage. Our rights should be decided by our Parliament not by a legal argument about the definition of a certain word or phrase. |
