MessageThe Whig Party sees no compelling reason why a simple game of poker or blackjack held within a person's home should be illegal. Therefore, we propose for the allowance of gambling in private homes, in addition to the casinos in which they are already permitted.

We recognize that this is competing vision for gambling currently before this body. However, we feel that there is no reason why the government should lose out on the revenue that the casino licensing fees currently provide and thus no compelling reason to devolve that power to the local governments.
