Bill: Criminalization of Islam 2335

Details

Submitted by[?]: Telamon National Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2344

Description[?]:

We put forward this bill to make the practice of Islam illegal in the state of Telamon.

We find that Islam is fundematlly opposed to our Christian heritage, we find teh teachings of Islam abhorant and distgusting. It calls for unbeleivers to be fought against in verses such as Surah 9:123 "O Ye Who believe Fight those of the unbelivers who live near you and show them how harsh you can be".

It also is very intollerant towards homosexuality which they call for walls to be pushed on them or for them to be burnt to death. This religion and acts have no place in a modern Christian Telamon.

We will leave this bill open to debate before putting to a vote.

MessageYou know, there's some pretty disgusting things in the bible as well. And there's no way we could/should ban Christianity so I will vote no. Banning Islam is discrimination against a minority and is therefore against what the PSF stands for.

This is near enough what the nazis did to the jews, before they tried to kill them all.

MessageYou infidel! Never will I let you tarnish Allah in such a way again! BTW: Allah is the same as God, so you don't count as a non-believer (provided you are a Christian or a Jew). I know, how about lets round up all the fascists that voted for you and put THEM in concentration camps and starve and gas them. See how your own medicine tastes! BTW: Aren't you the one who just put forward a bill descrying homosexuality? What an hypocrite!

MessageI never once put a bill criminalising homosexuality, I put a bill forward to restricting them from adoption. I do not want to stop them from being gay in private.

I know Allah is the same god as the Christian god (in theory) in reality ISlam portrays a different god, a false god. Our lord warned us to watch out for false profets and that it just what Mohammed was.

Since Death penalty is illegal in Telamon I cant see that happening.

MessageIf Mohammed was a false prophet, then why did he say essentially everything that Jesus did? Your theory is one of ignorant Christian propoganda. I suggest you read the Qur'an before you go about bludgeoning it verbally.

MessageHe did not say what Jesus said, so I request you read the Koran. I have read it, I just dont think you have read it.

Mohammed didnt tell us to turn the other cheeck, he didnt tell his followers to lower their swords. He didnt ride in on a donkey, he instead told the muslims to kill 800 jews which took all night.

MessageBut that doesn't make all muslims like that. It says in the bible (deuteronomy), that non believers should be but to death, Islam can be as evil or as good as Christianity. It's up to individual interpretation. Some muslims are not to be trusted and neither are some Christians. It's the same for all of mankind.

MessageThe Majority of muslims support the extreme views of Islam, and that is increasing in the islamic youth. Are you willing to risk the civil rights of all them people in favour of civil rights of just the muslims? Should a majority lose rights to suit a minority?

MessageAnd what rights will the majority be losing? I say criminalizing Islam would force the religion underground and cause a hell of a lot more problems. Extreme views are born out of poverty and oppression.

Message@TNP: Can you seriously believe what you are saying? Most Muslims, believe it or not, are people just like you and me-no different. They want the same things (well, not as you; you're a bad example). Please, spell the Qur'an correctly; I don't spell 'Bible' as 'bibbelle'. BTW: there is a reason that civil rights are called civil rights; they are guaranteed to everybody. Please, either stop with the Hitler routine or quit denying it. I agree with what the PSF said; extremism comes as a result of discrimination by the likes of the TNP and the resultant poor socio-economic position into which they are forced. We should be criminalising racism, not expression.

MessageSo are you saying that it does not say that homosexuals should have walls pushed on them in Islamic holy books (Hadjif) Sp?
Women are also restricted from worshipping in the same area as men in the mosque, this is discrimination against half of the population in Telamon.
I have read what this Satanic religion teaches I have seen it in black and white, I am not denying anything. You are denying the truth to fit in with your deluded little liberal dream world.

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.
