Bill: Voluntary ID System Act of 2079
Details
Submitted by[?]: Proletariat Revolution Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2081
Description[?]:
Rather than force all citizens to have identification cards, a voluntary system would be more practical. A voluntary system would simplify the process and allow citizens to have one card that contains their driver's license, health care and passport information. To provide people with an incentive to switch over; instead of three separate renewel dates and fees (for license and passport), it will be one lump sum, which while high will still be less than the two fees, and the renewel time period would be longer than on the current system. However, no citizen would have to switch over unless they wanted to. |

Article 1

Message | This way, it's voluntary and there is an incentive involved. |

Message | We propose a change to this act to only driver's liscense and passport. Healthcare is being voted on to be privatized and it appears to be winning. And why waste money doing so trivial as turning two cards into one? A counter card which is distributed to everyone, however, makes a difference. This card can be used as a basis for applying for other liscenses. A voluntary card achieves little, and we believe it's a waste of time and money. |
