Bill: Gambling Rights Act of 2341

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Coalition Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2342

Description[?]:

Gambling belongs to every person's individual right and a lot of tax money goes under our noses to the pockets of a few. More open gambling would improve tourism in the nation and increase state's tax revenues, not to mention that gambling could be better supervised due to more open policy.

MessageOppose, the current law in place was put in by the KCTP. We feel that gambling leads to different crimes, but Casinos do contribute to the economy, so we may vote in favour.

MessageI say we just end the regulation and propose "Gambling is legal across the nation, no regulation what so ever."

People gamble anyways no matter what the law is by ending the regulation we dont have to make up pointless fines for people.

MessageThe attitude of the KCTP is in right direction, but we feel that making gambling totally unregulated is too drastic measure and the negative sides of it would overcome positive ones. The proposed law change would balance both sides of the issue, increasing tax revenues for the state & individual liberty.

The NCP is looking forward for the opinions & suggestions of other parties.

MessageWe feel that the current system is best, and that increasing gambling will put more pressure on the finances of poor people. We recognise that casinos and other gambling establishments are designed to be highly attractive, and we fear that the effect of increased gambling will turn more people towards gambling addictions, poverty and crime.

MessageThe NCP trusts on individual responsibility in this issue and the casinos would be regulated, including bet limits and financial assurance restraints to minimize playing over what people can afford. It's better that people play in supervised casinos rather than in dark street corners where there are no rules for gambling & playing what so ever. The tax money collected from casinos could be invested on education for example which is the future of this nation & its welfare.

MessageWe agree on the LVK on this. Casinos are designed to seperate people from their money, and they do not care whether people can afford to lose it or not. The companies that run them pay only 'lip service' to any attempt to enforce responsible gambling. Casinos also tend to have links (if they are not owned outright by) organised crime.

MessageI think we should set up Casino's with regulations so we can watch what is going on. They are actually important to the economy, and if we want, we can tax them to make money.

MessageSupported, we don't see a reason why the people shouldn't be allowed to decide for themselves what to do with their money, especially as long as we can protect potential addict by offering licenses to only specific casinos.
