Bill: Budget proposal of June 2342

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dorvish Popular Front

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2343

Description[?]:

The National Progress Party propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Free Republic of Dorvik.

Internal Affairs - this has gone up due to recent developments in legislation that have not been accounted for by the budget such as increased police armaments.

Defence - Artania is a very unstable place at the moment, and rearming and updating the Dorvish military is a top priority.

Infrastructure and Transport - The new national fire service and public transport need to be paid for out of this increase in funds.

Food and Agriculture - The Senate has decided not to fund farms in any way so this department needs less funding.

We had hoped to spread the funding more evenly but the Senate blocked our other nationalisation bills.

Random fact: Submitting a bill without any proposals in it will not attract or detract voters. It will not raise your visibility or change your political position.

Random quote: Time and again, the police prove themselves to be the Class Enemy, an armed mob used to oppress the masses and maintain the wealthy in their privileges. ~Friedrich Pfeiffer, General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party
