Bill: Senate Pardon for Ralf Hutter/Albert Kesselring

Details

Submitted by[?]: Noordelijk Bevrijding Front

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2345

Description[?]:

This bill would annull the politically motivated arrest of these Ralf Hutter and Albert Kesselring (It was the President who called for the arrests) because it is a clear violation of the seperation of powers. Also, the case is extremely flawed for the following reasons:

-The Legion of Terra units are in the Dorvish Military NOT the Uwakahn Military. They had disobeyed orders and as such were dealt with accordingly.

-Mirjan Sterk was not democratically elected, as a protectorate of Dorvik we could not allow her to remain in power. We offered her the oppurtunity to stand in democratic elections but she refused. Her party gained 4% in the last elections.

-If Ms.Sterk was supported by the majority of the population then why did she not SEEK THEIR APPROVAL?

-Despite being charged for war crimes, no accusations in line with this criteria has been levelled

Definition: a crime committed in wartime; violation of rules of war : No crime was commited, certainly not on the orders of Hutter or Kesselring

MessageWe feel these men acted illegally, irresponsibly and unconstitutionally, but we agree they are not guilty of war crimes.

MessageThe Moderates agree with the NPP: Mr. Hutter and Kesselring did not commit war crimes but acted against the will of the Senate and without consulting their cabinet partners, ACPD and NPP about the military action, thus acting irresponsibly and against the constitution. We are ready to support the drop of war crime charges but mr. Hutter and Kesselring has to draw political conclusions and face the constitution court.

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.

Random quote: "The main problem of the left is that it has been traditionally divided and unable to reach agreements between different leftist views, whilst the right has almost always moved in the same direction by giving concessions to different rightist points of view." - Aelius Celer, former Selucian politician
