Bill: Liberalisation of Media Bill of 2347
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Party of Dorvik
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2348
Description[?]:
Free, objective & versatile media is the corner stone of free speech, freedom and democracy. It's people's basic right to get versatile information and news from various sources without the approval of the government, and we Moderates have always felt that the state is there for its citizens, not the other way around. The "all for the state" kind of thinking is outdated and doesn't belong to such a fine nation as Free Republic of Dorvik. The state would still have its own radio & television station for broadcasting and bringing up issues which it regards important, but private radio & television stations would be allowed with few regulations |
