Bill: Freedom of Private Education Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2083

Description[?]:

Currently private schools are heavily regulated, this need not be the case. If they are unregulated and do not do well, then parents wont pay to send kids their or send them at all. IF they are good, then parents will send their children their.

Competition from the private sector will drive up standards in the public sector as they have to compete.

MessageBy the time parents realise a school does not provide good education it's already too late. ;-)

Besides, public schools already have competition from the private sector.

MessageSmall number of private schools mean not a lot.

Its not too late, schools have reputations to maintain and that they establish, parents choose schools by results, performance and reputation.

Its not too late. If they think its a bad school there is nothing stopping them taking their kid out of one school and putting them in another which has space.

MessageBut by the time they realise it is a bad school the child will already have to catch up with other children at his or her new school. Parents should not choose schools by results, performance, or reputation, they should be certain that, no matter what school they send their child to, their child will receive a good education.

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself.
