Bill: Budget proposal and spending review of May 2352
Details
Submitted by[?]: Covenanters (IA)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2353
Description[?]:
The Presbyterian Unionists propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Holy Luthori Empire. As the Ministry of Defence has taken responsibility for Justice it should clearly benefit from the former Justice Ministry's budget. With the above spending proposals there will be no need for the Education and Health Departments to waste any treasury funds. Further tax cuts can follow, for the benefit of all Citizens, once we stop pouring the money of hard working tax payers away. |

Message | This is ridiculous. Cut all funding to health, justice and education, vital mainstays of any developed society, while raising military spending yet again? Very poorly thought-out motion. |
Date | 04:44:36, January 31, 2007 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the Budget proposal and spending review of May 2352 |
Message | How can you justify spending the hard earned money of tax payers on a "Justice Ministry" when the MOD is responsible for policing and on Departments overseing the completely private and self-sufficient Health and Education sectors? |
Date | 13:34:57, January 31, 2007 CET | From | Catholic Justicial Party - Solidarity | To | Debating the Budget proposal and spending review of May 2352 |
Message | Defence at 37 billion and health and education at 0 makes no sense in any developed nation. Basically, what you want is a nation of poorly educated, physically ill soldiers armed to the teeth and preparing for a war which has yet to happen. |
Date | 16:16:58, January 31, 2007 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the Budget proposal and spending review of May 2352 |
Message | That would be true if we didn't have private education and healthcare and weren't fighting crusades in Agathion and Majatra. Besides the healthcare of HM Armed Forces is part of the Defence Budget. |
Date | 17:51:32, January 31, 2007 CET | From | Redneck Party | To | Debating the Budget proposal and spending review of May 2352 |
Message | The parties against this are clearly anti defence, and against the well being of the Holy Empire. |
