Luis Rubio has announced his resignation as Progressive Conservative Party (PCP) Leader following his second consecutive presidential election loss to President Ersilia RodrÃguez (APP). The elections also saw the PCP lose its status as the largest party in Parliament despite a one-seat pickup.
According to acting party leader Christian Sanchez, PCP will formally elect a new party leader as soon as possible. Many political analysts believe that the next PCP party leader, whoever it may be, will be likely to take the party in a more conservative direction.Signed,
