Description[?]:
The Christian Socialist Movement was founded in 2757 by its founder and current leader, Simon Crossley. We advocate a new and progressive style of politics inspired by Christian and socialist values. Our aims include: * A fundamental change in the balance of wealth and power in favour of the poor and marginalised. * Achieving social justice, with opportunities and fair treatment for all. Integral to this is a reform of the penal system, with much more emphasis on effective rehabilitation programs. * Giving workers a greater say in the decisions which effect them in the workplace and in the economic environment generally. * Promoting good, tried-and-tested Christian values, including encouraging stable marriages as the best environment for bringing up children, educating the young about treating others fairly, encouraging a sense of community spirit and knowing when to put others before oneself. * Leading the world by example, by eschewing all involvement with weapons of mass destruction, working for fair trading arrangements which put human need before profit, doing everything we can to promote economic and social development in poorer countries and pushing for the implementation of democratic and human rights initiatives abroad. * Preserving our environment whilst safeguarding key economic and social interests. * Defending religious liberties for all our people. |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar). |
Random quote: "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, from those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children." - Dwight D. Eisenhower |
