Description[?]:
The ZFA was formed to bring more decentralization to the government of our great nation. As it stands all of the leading parties in our government have pushed to give more power to the central government and are increasingly taking away the individual rights of each state and the local authorities within them. We see a course that is slowly turning our country into a police state and one that ignores the individuality of our many communities. Each state within OUR nation has in excess of fifty three million people. All of these people are unique individuals with different goals and ambitions and they should all be given equal opportunity to represent their political beliefs at each level of government as they see fit. Every town, every county, every state, every region is different and should not be unilaterally governed on a national stage. We also have strong opinions on the following political ideals: Civil Rights: Each individual should be free to make the same choices as any other regardless of race, religion or political affiliation. Ecology: Each region of our country should be free to decide what level of participation they take in 'cleaning' the world and not all environmental actions are good for our nation. Trade and Industry: We believe that the local government should be the only authority over it's business and enterprise. At the same time world trade should be supported as everyone benefits from the options it presents. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
Random quote: "The first step in freeing yourself from social restrictions is the realization that there is no such thing as a 'safe' code of conduct, one that would earn everyone's approval. Your actions can always be condemned by someone, for being too bold or too apathetic, for being too conformist or too nonconformist, for being too liberal or too conservative. So it's necessary to decide whose approval is important to you." - Harry Browne |
