Description[?]:
The beginning In 2109, a local movement in West-Shadar was started by Benjamin Dillen. They called themselves "The Believers in a Shadar without Immigrants" (BSI). After gaining a few seats in Goldaria, they couldn't really do anything. After the next election, the BSI won again a few seats in most cities in West Shadar, became the second party in Goldaria and joined the majority there, but unfortunately wasn't able to realise many of its ideas. In 2117, 6 Large companies in Selucia (Adle Cars (a sports car company), Airtrain (an airplane development/airline company), Protector and Gumball (P&G, an engineering company), SeluCOM (a company providing internet and phone services), the Selucian Media Corporation (SMC, the owner of several radio and TV stations, such as U-music and Sim-TV) and Thompson&Thompson (a pharmaceutical company) had a debate about how to make Selucia a better and more attractive place for companies to invest. They decided to co-operate and formed "The Value Added Tax Promoting Companies in Selucia" (VATPCS). At first, the VATPCS wasn't a political party, but a lobby-group. When this was not very successful, the movement decided to form a political party in 2119. The current economical program of the VBS is still the same as the one used by the VATPCS. In 2120, the VATPCS and the BSI decided to go to the elections in East and West Shadar as a cartel, and the name VBS was born. The VBS won the local elections and could deliver the major of Goldaria. Encouraged by this, the VBS decided to go national. The first election in 2121 wasn't a success: because of the low publicity made by the party, they got 0 seats. However, the members of the cartel still believed in it, and decided to stay together for at least the major election. Again, the VBS Party was successful, and could deliver the major of Kallara, Godaria and Nabal. Right after this election, the members decided the former 2 parties would become the VBS Party forever. But due expensive local campaigns, the VBS Party again couldn't get enough visibility and get into the Imperial Senate. This changed 3 years later, in 2129, when the VBS Party started a very hard campaign, focussing on immigrants, with the slogan "Get packed and get out". The election was a success, the VBS party became the third party in Selucia, and even the first party in Uleroth. However, the traditional parties, under the influence of the Selucian Sovereignty Party, didn't want a coalition with the VBS Party, due to the no-nonsense stance in some themes. Since 2129, the VBS Senators are notorious for their hard opposition against most other parties, especially when they take decisions that make Selucia either a worse place to invest (more regulator, more big government) or more attractive for immigrants. 60 million Selucians can't be wrong - VBS |

Random fact: It is possible for a player to transfer ownership of a character or a royal house to another player. This should be done in a public way, such as on the Character Transfers thread, so that if a dispute arises in the future, Moderation can be pointed towards evidence of the transfer. |
