Description[?]:
Without honor or tradition we are but thoughtlessness and whimsy. -- Proculus Livius Fabilius, at the founding of the party, November 4110 After winning big in the elections of 4115, Tradition and Honor has not rammed a partisan agenda through the legislature. Representative democracy works again! After several years of single party rule, a group of similarly minded citizens, business leaders, economic experts, former military commanders, and respected clergy formed the party. There was a growing sentiment that the lack of alternative proposals and single party rule stagnated the land, the people, the culture. 01 June 4111 Traditio et Honorem's party leader, Proculus Livius Fabilius, gave a speech in the city of Triarium, KS, declaring, "Hosianistic culture has been in decline too long. Regnum de Selucia has been in decline for too long. Tradition has been in decline for too long. Honor itself has been in decline for too long." Livius Fabilius outlined the party's positions as being focused on returning control to localities when possible and restoring honor and truth to government and the governed, "Too many times we have seen Selucians fractured and without a knowledge of their own histories and lore. I fault not the Jelbics, not the Cildanians, not the Majatrans for this happening. I fault an increasing centralized government that somehow has deduced that our cultural confederation is best served with a single method of ruling us all." Livius Fabilius concluded his speech to the cheers of several hundred supporters, "Finally, I am here to announce that this wonderful city of Triarium will be the home of Traditio et Honorum's national headquarters. We will be operating far and wide in next few months as the fine citizens of Selucia make contributions to this fine party. We thank you and we honor you." |
