Description[?]:
The Democratic Libertarian Party is an anti-authoritarian, peace-loving party that adheres to the core principles of individual civil and political liberties, education and free thought, while simultaneously repudiating any post-modernist notions of moral relativity between cultures. We believe that the fundamental, legitimate responsibilities of the government are to maintain a simple, pragmatic backbone for the rest of the country to build upon: this would consist of basic public services such as roads and railways, schools, law and order (in a firm-but-fair, rational manner), and corporate and social welfare only when necessary to prevent abject poverty. We abhor the concept of central government having a say in people's private lives - we do not know what is best for you. Private expression, property, relationships, benign experiences and beliefs are all fundamental human rights, which also come with responsibilities. It is the people's responsibility to work for themselves and think in moral terms. We are not pushing for any sort of egalitarianism in terms of wealth, but we do believe in a fair society - one in which the rich are taxed to a fair degree, while the poor and middle-class much less-so - if at all. |

Random fact: Particracy does not allow real-life brand names (eg. Coca Cola, McDonalds, Microsoft). However, in the case of military equipment brand names it is permitted to use simple number-letter combinations (eg. T-90 and F-22) borrowed from real life, and also simple generic names, like those of animals (eg. Leopard and Jaguar). |
Random quote: "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." - Tenche Coxe |
