Founded in August 2931, following the liberation of Gaduridos from the monarchy, JayCo was formed as an oil and gas company with operations in Vintalli and Marligantos. JayCo's First Chairman/CEO is Mengistu Haile Beeman. In April 2937, JayCo announced the acquisition of several small retailers that they were consolidating as JayCo Stores, a subsidiary with national operations. The stores would be standardized and a JayCo gas station would be installed at each one. The first President/CEO of JayCo Stores is Meles Zenawi Mariam. In June 2938, JayCo allied with the military and formed the JayCo Coordinating Committee of the Army, executing a corporate militarist takeover. Mengistu Haile Beeman took office as the Chairman of the Provisional Military Administrative Council (HoS). A new cabinet was ushered in, known as the Provisional Military Administrative Council. The legislature was abolished. In November 2944, Mengistu Haile Beeman restored the legislature, known as the Corporate Militarist Parliamentary Assembly. A judicial branch was also created.
