Description[?]:
Nasionale Tasselistiese Unie (National Tasselist Union) The Nastional Tasselist Union of Saridan (also known as the Tasselist Union, the National Tasselist Church or the NTU) is an umbrella organization, uniting the various Tasselist churches throughout Saridan, allowing them to have both a national and a political presence in the nation. Tasselists follow the theology and political theory of the famous Duntrekker reformer Gert van Tassel, who calls for a theocratic state run by religious leaders and biblical experts. In addition, NTU is anti-monarchy, holding firm to the belief that only God is King. The NTU is traditionalist, conservative and free market, but also emphasizes a return to "simple economics" built around agriculture and the economy of the local village community. The NTU is made up on representatives from each Tasselist congregation. Each local congregation is autonomous in Tasselist thought, but the NTU allows for them to come together to and influence both local and national politics. The Pastoral Congress is meeting of all pastors in the NTU, who gather every five years for a week to elect a new President, create religious and political policy and hold seminars on religious and political thought. The leadership of the NTU is the President of the Pastoral Congress, who is elected by the Congress for a 5-year term, serving a maximum of 4 terms. The President serves as both the religious and political leadership for the NTU. Presidents of the Pastoral Congress of the National Tasselist Union: 1) Rev. Dr. Jan van Tassel (3880-Current) Other leadership positions include the Rector of the Bible University/Seminary of the NTU (which offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees and trains men for the pastorate) and the Director of Missionaries (who oversees all NTU radio and TV broadcasts, newspaper, journal and book publications and other forms of communication, including Internet, pamphlets and training door-to-door missionaries). The President, Director and Rector make up the Executive Council of the NTU. Directors of the Society of Tasselist Missionaries: 1) Rev. Pauwel Stje (3880-Current) Rectors of the National Tasselist Bible University in Sonskaap: 1)Rev. Dr. Cornelius Hendrik (3880-Current) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NTU Political Compass Results Economic Left/Right: 3.88 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 6.62 OOC: Thank you to the kind person(s) who edited the NTU Wiki page to make it presentable! |
