The Selucian Socialist Party (SSP) was established in 2491 by noted radical writer Elias Burkinshaw to provide a forum for left-wing political thought. The party's governing council is primarily made up of left-leaning intellectuals and trade union leaders. The party seeks to uphold the principles of socialism and democracy. The SSP supports free healthcare, free education, free public transport, widescale nationalisation, regulation of the market, a strong welfare state, extensive civil liberties and democratic rights, strong environmental protection and diplomatic foreign policies. |
