Description[?]:
The Republican Party is a liberal conservative and libertarian political party operating in Kirlawa since September 4407. Formed by Samantha Davis and various other citizens and small time politicians, the party is mixed on social issues, supporting conservative measures such as the death penalty whilst also supporting liberal measures such as gay rights. Economically the party is fairly conservative, wanting tax cuts primarily for the working and middle classes. In February 4408 the Liberty Party re-branded itself the Republican Party. As a nod to its original name, the Republicans are often referred to as the Party of Liberty, or abbreviated to POL. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
Random quote: Henceforth, the current system of first and second class stamps, where the rich can pay to have their mail delivered faster than the poor, shall be BANNED. There shall be only one class of mail delivery, and ALL mail shall travel at the SAME speed for EVERYBODY. There can be no class discrimination in the People's Post Office! There must be the SAME class of mail service FOR ALL! ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
