Description[?]:

--We embrace what is best in individualism and what is best in communism.

--Freedom begins with the desire of individuals to break out of constrained and controlled circumstances, the desire to reappropriate the capacity to create one’s own life as one sees fit. This requires that they overcome the separation between them and their conditions of existence. Where the few, the privileged, control the conditions of existence, it is not possible for most individuals to truly determine their existence on their terms. Individuality can only flourish where equality of access to the conditions of existence is the social reality. This equality of access is communism; what individuals do with that access is up to them and those around them. Thus there is no equality of being or uniform identity of individuals implied in true communism. There is no contradiction between individuality and communism.

--The Libertarian Communists of Barmenistan represent the intellectual principles of it founders, thus it can be described as "Marxist-Kropotkinite". It is committed to the aboiltion of class based society, direct democratic participation of the populace in neighborhood and workplace assemblies, and promotes a socio-ecological "permaculture" viewpoint in relation to agriculture and the environment. Libertarian Communism promotes mutual aid, voluntary cooperation, and the liberation of desire.

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too.

Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn
