Description[?]:
"I am for Socialism because I am for humanity". -Eugene V Debs OUR VIEWS: LIBERALISM: We are quite liberal on social issues. We favor an open border, an open refuge policy, and the right to privacy. We oppose conservative attemps to impose their pseudomorality on others. DEMOCRACY: We believe in government "of the people, by the people, and for the people". We are liberal on civil rights issues. We oppose any form of dictatorship, wether capitalist, fascist, or "communist". We will fight to protect the democratic rights and civil liberties of the people. SOCALISM: We support a heavily regulated economy, and greater rights for the workers. We support more nationalized industry, and a national healthcare system. We support greater government involvement in the economy in order to stem the chaos of the free market. We favor a pension plan to support the elderly, and we support expanding welfare. Random quote: "In Germany they first came for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me--and by that time no one was left to speak up." - Pastor Martin Niemoller |
