Description[?]:
http://i13.tinypic.com/6cwpgyb.gif - logo The Democratic Labour and Unionist Party (DLUP) was founded in 2398, to act as a political wing of the Democratic Labour Council (DLC). The DLC is loosely affiliated with the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Dorvik’s largest trade union. The main objective of the DLUP is to expand and protect the rights of working people, which it feels is best done through the strengthening of trade and industrial unions. In addition to its centre-left economic views the party is also very socially progressive. The DLUP is currently the second largest party in Dorvik, holding 128 seats in the House of Commons and 27 seats in the Senate. The party has over 24 million registered members. Prominent members of the DLUP include: President L. Mark Stevenson, Senate President Geo. A. N. Franklyn, and Prime Minister Jane Markwell. Also, there are several members of the DLUP who use to be in the Christian Democrats before its dissolution, including Thomas Allan MP and Senator Kenneth Moore. The DLUP also holds several ministries; Minister of Internal Affairs Michael Allen Windsor, Ministry of Justice W. M. S. Delano, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport John Karl Goldburg, Ministry of Food and Agriculture Michelle LeBlanche, and Ministry of Trade and Industry Rayon D'Altroppe. The DLUP Platform: - strong trade and industrial unions, - safeguarded workers’ rights, - centralized government, - a socially progressive society, - a well regulated and healthy economy, - expanded LGBT rights, - a clean environment, - a non-aggressive foreign policy , - schooling and medicine for all, ~for a better tomorrow. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
Random quote: "I do not believe that the United States should be bound by the same rules as the smallest African nation. Life isn't like that." - Richard Perle |
