Description[?]:
The Democratic Party of New Endralon mantains a modern socialist philosophy in which federal government serves the will and welfare of its people. Enshrined within this philosophy are the following principles: - That large-scale federal government is necessary to afford every citizen of New Endralon the same rights. - That a social welfare system must be provided and controlled on a federal level. - That fair taxation is imperative for the development of a nation. - That commerce and industry must be regulated federally in order for the economy to serve the interests of the people. - That civil and personal liberties are paramount and no government may harm or diminish them. - That damage to the environment has a direct impact upon the freedom of opportunity of the people and must therefore be minimized. - That conflict rarely serves the interests of the people and may not be entered into without full popular support. These principles translate into support for the following policies: - Freedom of religion, speech, assembly and union - A moderately regulated economy - Free and universal healthcare and university education - A complete social welfare system - The right to due process, jury trial and appeal - A constitutional prohibition of the death penalty - The right to bear arms - Guaranteed protection from workplace discrimination - A woman's right to choose - The extension of marriage to homosexual couples - Full adoption rights for single and homosexual people - The declassification of all narcotic substances - The unionization of the sex industry |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
